Ceramic Waterless Wash is one of our best sellers, and it's also one of our most misused products. Used on the right car it's the fastest way to a clean, protected finish. Used on the wrong car it's a good way to put scratches in your paint. The difference is knowing which car you have in front of you.
The rule
If you can write your name in the dirt, it's a full-wash car. Waterless wash is for dust, pollen, fingerprints, light water spots, and the film a car picks up sitting in a garage or a covered parking spot for a week. It is not for mud, road salt, sand, or the grime a daily driver collects in a rainy week. That stuff needs to be rinsed off with water before anything touches the paint.

- Show cars and weekend cars that live in a garage.
- Apartment dwellers with no hose.
- Between full washes, to keep a coated car looking fresh.
- After a rain shower left spots on an otherwise clean car.
- Trucks and bed covers that get dusty but not dirty.
What's in it
Ours is SiO2-infused, which means every wipe leaves a thin layer of ceramic protection behind. Clean and coat in one step: the surface gets slicker and water beads better every time you use it. On an already-coated car it acts as a maintenance topper.
The technique that keeps it safe
- One panel at a time. Half a hood, one door, one fender.
- Spray generously. The product is the lubricant. If the panel looks dry, you haven't used enough.
- Plush towel, folded in quarters. Our Borderless Grey Microfiber Towel has no stitched edge to drag across the paint.
- One pass per side, in a straight line, with almost no pressure. You're lifting dirt into the towel, not scrubbing it around. Flip to a clean side after each pass.
- Buff with a second, dry towel. Light pressure, straight lines.
- Use a lot of towels. Six to eight for a whole car is normal. A dirty towel is the one that scratches.
Wheels and glass
Do wheels last, with their own towel, and never use that towel on paint again. Glass loves this product; it leaves windows clear without streaks.
When in doubt
Rinse first. Even a quick hose-down before a waterless wash removes most of the risk. And if the car is genuinely dirty, read our full wash routine instead.
